Itinerary
Pick you up your hotel at 08:30 and drive to White Cloud Temple (Bai Yun Guan). As one of "The Three Great Ancestral Courts" of the Complete Perfection Sect of Daoism, this temple is titled "The First Temple under Heaven". Then move on to Beihai Park where you have chance to visit the largest white pagoda of its kind in China dating back from Kublai Khan's reign. After lunch, continue to visit the Yonghe Palace Lamasery. Considered as the biggest Tibetan Buddhist Lama Temple in Beijing and the most well known one outside China Tibet area, the Yonghe Palace Lamasery was initially built in 1694 during the Qing Dynasty. This building was the residence of Emperor Yongzheng when he was just a prince. However, in 1744 the Qing Dynasty formally changed the status of the dwelling to that of a lamasery, and then Yonghe Lamasery became the national center of Lama Administration and upper court of the Yellow Sect Lamaism. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Service ends.
